Bleier is a Vietnam veteran and war hero and has written a book titled “Fighting Back.” Fighting back tells the story of Bleier’s approach to living to his potential. The book tells the tale of the famed running back’s childhood years and his lessons in life growing up in Appleton, Wisconsin as well as his struggles as a student at Notre Dame and his football days there and in Pittsburgh.
